Good Al Is Marrying Kimberly!

Well, I guess you could say I have taken my time getting married in this life time God has given me. However, for the first 35 years, I was no where near Jesus and not one for commitment. Things changed at age 35. That is when I encountered Jesus Christ in the spirit. My whole life was altered and put upon a totally new path. That has only been 9 years ago. At that time I was a mechanical engineer working with lifting equipment. After a year and a half I was led from engineering to help start a private Christian school, Revelation Academy, at my church, Crown & Glory Bible Center. In the past nine years, God has used me as a single guy to do many things. Even though I have desired to have a wife, I have not begrudged the Lord for the time he has used me in my single state, and I have had faith that through divine providence he would connect me with the woman decreed for my life.

That woman is Kimberly. Kimberly and I have come to know each other over the last couple of years. Our first acquaintance was online at Townhall.com. Later a number of us formed a group called the Band of Bloggers. As time went on, our blogging group started interacting on facebook. Kimberly and I shared a lot of things on facebook concerning the Word of God. Our relationship really was birthed in our ability to express and receive one to another the things we were revealed in the Scriptures.

It was not too long after connecting on facebook that events brought Kimberly from Missouri all the way to my state of North Carolina. She ended up in Richlands, NC, with her daughter's family. Her daughter's husband is a Marine who got stationed at that time in nearby Camp Lejeune and now is serving overseas. God bless you, Jeremiah and your family.

While Richlands is quite a ways from me, about 160 miles, it is the location of Kingdom Life Fellowship. One of my greatest spiritual fathers is Dr. Kelley Varner, and that church is the one he founded in the late '70's (then known as Praise Tabernacle). For seven years I received teaching from Dr. Varner, and would go down to Praise Tabernacle monthly to hear from the apostle. He passed away June 13, 2009. My Kimberly heard many things from me that I shared that stuck with me from the teaching of Dr. V. So when she ended up in Richlands a year after Dr. Varner's passing, it was quite a shock because I had shared so much about the church there and teachings I had received there.

Since moving there,  Kimberly has become an integral part of Kingdom Life Fellowship. It was a bit weird for a time because she personally knew people that I knew, but I had not personally met her. We did finally meet face to face in December 2010, a good five months since she landed in Richlands. It was a different kind of meeting though, for we had already come to know each other in the spirit. From that time forth, we have gotten to know each other more and more. Our first official date was back in April when we went to Raven Rock State Park in Lillington, NC. 


I officially asked Kimberly to marry me on Saturday, July 23, 2011, at her church, Kingdom Life Fellowship. We plan to be married  there on August 20 at  1pm. Our engagement is short, but we feel led to be together without further delay. In fact, many people were asking as soon as May when we were getting married or if I had asked Kimberly. It has been good receiving confirmation from the saints. We look forward to what Jesus has before us in our walk together. Kimberly and I feel that there is great purpose in God joining us together. One thing that the Lord revealed to me about my wife to be before I ever met Kimberly was that she would be able to  minister to me, and I to her, and us to others together. God is good.
